Manuel Catalano from UNIPI is the winner of the 2014 Georges Giralt PhD Award with a thesis on the new generation of robots moved by VIA actuators. This an annual award given by by euRobotics AISBL, the association of European industries and research centers working in robotics, for the best PhD thesis in Europe. The aim is to encourage high-quality work amongst young researchers in their first research period.
